Sacha Wasi offers travelers the opportunity to explore and experience life-changing plant medicine in authentic ceremonies deep within Ecuador's Amazon rainforest.  Guided by indigenous Kichwa Yachaks, participants can choose from group retreats or private ones lasting up to 14 days—or even longer immersions with traditional master plant dietas and shamanic apprenticeships!

Accommodation: At our retreat, guests are welcome to immerse themselves in the beauty of the Amazon rainforest while staying in comfortable and locally-constructed bamboo huts. Our rustic casitas offer all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay, including high-speed internet, electricity, and hot showers. Guests can enjoy three delicious meals per day, as well as access to laundry facilities.

Our retreat offers a range of accommodation options, including both private and shared casitas, allowing guests to choose the option that best suits their needs.

In between ceremonies, guests are invited to explore the stunning surroundings and embark on adventures in the heart of the Amazon. From river canoeing and jungle hikes to a breathtaking view overlooking the rainforest, there is something for everyone at our retreat. Our backyard is the perfect place for guests to connect with nature and deepen their spiritual journey.

Food: At Sacha Wasi, guests can savor the flavors of authentic Ecuadorian and Kichwa cuisine at our outdoor Comedor (dining hall). With the tranquil flow of the river just steps away, each meal is a sensory experience unlike any other.

Each day starts with a cup of traditional tea made from leaves and roots harvested from the Amazon jungle, providing a true taste of the local culture. Our meals are prepared with love and joy by the women of the Kichwa community and are designed to meet a range of dietary needs, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, and meals with meat.

This visionary endeavor, introduced in February 2022, empowers children and adults from Sacha Wasi and neighboring tribes with an educational curriculum encompassing Kichwa, English, Spanish, geography, art, music and computer literacy. Under Dr. Scott's guidance, over 15 laptop computers have been donated, opening windows of opportunity for these future custodians of the Amazon.

Pioneering the Jungle Medical Clinic: Dr. Scott's dedication to holistic health manifested in the creation of the Jungle Medical Clinic within the Sacha Wasi community. Recognizing the gap in mainstream health services that often fail to meet the needs of indigenous communities, he sought to bridge this gap with a transformative solution. The clinic houses a dedicated team of qualified and experienced general practitioners, medical staff, allied health professionals, and indigenous healers. Together, they are committed to providing quality medical care to guests and families at Sacha Wasi. This initiative ensures that they receive the care they need and deserve, forging a path toward inclusive healthcare and eradicating marginalization.

Contributions to Psychedelic Integration: In his role as Former Senior Minister, Staff Psychologist, and Ayahuasca Facilitator at the Soul Quest Ayahuasca Church of Mother Earth, Dr. Scott orchestrated pre- and post-ceremony programs that encompassed a diverse range of integration-style groups. These groups offered support in areas such as psycho-spiritual integration, Zen Buddhist Meditation, recovery from substance misuse, spiritual studies, and personal growth.
